Welcome to my site!
I’m a writer, lifelong explorer of the outdoors, and proud New Hampshire resident. Above all, I’m a husband and father, and much of what I write is rooted in the desire to share meaningful stories—with my family, and with others who find joy in the natural world.
Publishing my first book, 4000s by 40, was the fulfillment of a longtime dream. It marked the beginning of a new chapter for me—not just as a hiker, but as a storyteller. I was so inspired by the process that I started work on my next book the very next day.
Much of my inspiration comes from nature. I grew up near the ocean on the South Shore of Massachusetts, but over the years, my love for the coast evolved into a deep connection with the White Mountains of New Hampshire. That shift is at the heart of 4000s by 40, and continues to influence my writing today.
On this site, I share updates on my books and current projects, along with reflections on everyday life. I also have a deep love for poetry, and this space gives me a place to share that as well. On the whole, I write about the world around me—the seen and the not-so-visible—because it brings me joy. My guiding principle for writing is to hopefully create words that help people find an escape and a little inspiration.
