Author: Matt Larson

With my first book, 4000s by 40, released this fall, I am fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing, and am excited to continue the journey of storytelling with future projects—so much so that the day after I published 4000s by 40, I began my next work. Much of my inspiration comes from nature. My early love for the ocean, found on the South Shore of Massachusetts, has transitioned into a deep passion for the mountains here in New Hampshire, and I wanted to share that with my first book. If you’d like to connect or have any inquiries, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. I’m also on Instagram and Facebook at wanderingmatt8. Happy reading!

Butt-Sliding on Cherry Mountain (aka Owlshead)

Posted on January 5, 2026January 5, 2026

The first hour took an hour. The second hour took two. And the third hour took about twenty minutes. At least, that’s how it felt going up and down Cherry Mountain on Saturday. After a solid holiday week of skiing and sledding with a ton of family and friends, I finished vacation off with “a…

Taking Church with You

Posted on December 26, 2025January 7, 2026

So it’s the day after Christmas, and if you’re Christian, you probably went to church yesterday. For many, it’s the only time they go each year, or maybe the only time they go outside of Easter. And that’s fine with me. I’m not here to chastise or judge. I can’t get my family to go…
