Author: Matt Larson

With my first book, 4000s by 40, released this fall, I am fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing, and am excited to continue the journey of storytelling with future projects—so much so that the day after I published 4000s by 40, I began my next work. Much of my inspiration comes from nature. My early love for the ocean, found on the South Shore of Massachusetts, has transitioned into a deep passion for the mountains here in New Hampshire, and I wanted to share that with my first book. If you’d like to connect or have any inquiries, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. I’m also on Instagram and Facebook at wanderingmatt8. Happy reading!

Still Learning Lessons on Mount Tecumseh

Posted on November 24, 2025November 25, 2025

I had an idea. I’m not saying it was a good one, or a well-thought-out one, but it had all the desire in the world to be something memorable. It was the kind of idea whose origin comes from a place deep within the roots of who you are, but time does its damndest to…

Book Review: Steven Pressfield’s “The War of Art”

Posted on November 20, 2025November 20, 2025

“Our job in this life is not to shape ourselves into some ideal we imagine we ought to be, but to find out who we already are and become it.” Well, I’m doing it again. I found another book I thought worth mentioning. I know this keeps happening, but my brother-in-law keeps recommending these books…
