Author: Matt Larson

With my first book, 4000s by 40, released this fall, I am fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing, and am excited to continue the journey of storytelling with future projects—so much so that the day after I published 4000s by 40, I began my next work. Much of my inspiration comes from nature. My early love for the ocean, found on the South Shore of Massachusetts, has transitioned into a deep passion for the mountains here in New Hampshire, and I wanted to share that with my first book. If you’d like to connect or have any inquiries, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. I’m also on Instagram and Facebook at wanderingmatt8. Happy reading!

Pawtuckaway Not Faraway

Posted on September 6, 2025September 6, 2025

Explore Where You’re At

You Can’t Run ‘Em All

Posted on September 3, 2025September 3, 2025

Yesterday I went exploring some new trails after spending some time on the tried-and-true the day before. They were a short set of trails, and when I looked at the map for Converse Woods, I thought, why not hike them all? I figured with less than two miles to explore, I could familiarize myself with the entire area in one fell swoop.

Go Where Others Don’t

Robert Frost’s poem The Road Not Taken has been heralded and used as motivation for independent endeavors for over one hundred years now. Its last three lines are poetry legend:

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
