Author: Matt Larson

With my first book, 4000s by 40, released this fall, I am fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing, and am excited to continue the journey of storytelling with future projects—so much so that the day after I published 4000s by 40, I began my next work. Much of my inspiration comes from nature. My early love for the ocean, found on the South Shore of Massachusetts, has transitioned into a deep passion for the mountains here in New Hampshire, and I wanted to share that with my first book. If you’d like to connect or have any inquiries, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. I’m also on Instagram and Facebook at wanderingmatt8. Happy reading!

Stripping the Context

Posted on August 12, 2025August 12, 2025

I have a problem. I can’t go anywhere and do the same thing over and over again—usually, at least. If I’m by myself, I can read a book for a while or write, but even then, I like to do it from different locations. It’s not that I can’t sit still; it’s that I need…

The Jaws Bridge

Posted on August 7, 2025August 7, 2025

Since the dawn of creation, parents have been asking their kids, “If all your friends jump off a bridge, would you do it too?” I know I’m supposed to present the same rhetorical question to mine, but what if I want to jump with them? As long as it’s not too big, of course. And…

Our Place in the Woods

Posted on August 6, 2025August 12, 2025

We need this, don’t we?
This place only we
seem to know about.

Where we can quickly
find some peace
whenever we go out.

A path with no cause
to make us worry
about who we might see.

With no care for
where we are going
or how we need to be.
