Author: Matt Larson

With my first book, 4000s by 40, released this fall, I am fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing, and am excited to continue the journey of storytelling with future projects—so much so that the day after I published 4000s by 40, I began my next work. Much of my inspiration comes from nature. My early love for the ocean, found on the South Shore of Massachusetts, has transitioned into a deep passion for the mountains here in New Hampshire, and I wanted to share that with my first book. If you’d like to connect or have any inquiries, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. I’m also on Instagram and Facebook at wanderingmatt8. Happy reading!

Born with no knowledge
of the world that surrounds them,
they start the growing process
along with our bodies.

Nimble like water, the mind lies
under the skin where the throb
steadies or varies.
Capable of acting on its own,
its power reaches
to the perimeter of feeling,
marked by the skin which covers it.

Not in New Hampshire Anymore

Posted on June 17, 2025June 17, 2025

Last week, I did what only the bravest of souls dare—I took my daughters into the heart of New York City to see Hamilton. I’ve climbed mountains, braved storms, and found myself in more than a few dangerous situations, but nothing quite tests my ability to survive like a trip to Times Square. I find…
